Firm also confirms associate and senior solicitor promotions

Stronachs LLP, the full service independent law firm, has announced the appointment of family law practitioner Michelle Fearn as an associate in its dispute resolution team, alongside three internal promotions.

Miss Fearn joins from McIntosh McTaggart, where she focussed on the constructive resolution of family law disputes for more than five years. Miss Fearn graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2004 and qualified as a solicitor in 2007.

“I’m very pleased to join Stronachs’ highly respected dispute resolution team, and look forward to working with the Partners and developing my career at the firm, which is renowned for providing high quality, personal support for its clients – along with excellent prospects for advancement,” she said.

A member of the Family Law Association Scotland, she has worked with a broad range of clients in a variety of matrimonial matters, including advising on separation and divorce with financial provision and in child and family disputes, which include appearing in the Sheriff Court for child welfare hearings.

Stronachs has also promoted Deborah Edon to associate in its dispute resolution team; and Alex Smith and Kirsten Anderson to senior solicitors in its agricultural/rural team and private client team respectively.

David Rennie, the firm’s Managing Partner, said: “Michelle brings excellent additional experience in family law to the dispute resolution team, and we are pleased to recognise Deborah, Alex and Kirsten’s achievements as they progress within the firm.

“We are committed to investing in our team to ensure we can deliver the very best service for our clients, by bringing in new talent and supporting colleagues as they develop their careers.”

Stronachs, headquartered in Aberdeen and with further bases in Inverness and London, has 19 partners and 115 lawyers and legal support staff, making it one of the largest independent law firms in the region.

With its roots firmly in the North-east and a long established legal heritage, Stronachs continues to develop and innovate and aims to grow further through an ambitious five year plan.

The firm provides legal services to private and commercial clients in all areas including agriculture, banking, corporate, energy, property, construction and dispute resolution.
