Following on from February’s successful webinar “Beyond Brexit: Revolution & Evolution” which examined how businesses can made sense of the biggest shake-up of corporate life for a generation, and move forward against a backdrop of change, our recent publication ‘A Guide to Brexit’ is now available to download in print-friendly format.

The Guide offers legal guidance on key issues facing businesses, public agencies and individuals, and points to consider when looking ahead.  It does not attempt to give a definitive view of the law but is aimed at giving clients and businesses an overview of key topics.

Stronachs LLP’s Head of Energy Partner Ewan Neilson said: “Businesses, public agencies and individuals will be heavily impacted by new ways in how we do many things.  This is the first major change in 48 years and numerous aspects of how we do business across every sector will be affected, from the structure and nature of our relationship with the rest of Europe through the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement and other related agreements and arrangements to different business sectors.

“This will have significant effect in particular on immigration and freedom of movement, employment and data management, state aid, public procurement, origin of goods, border control, agriculture and fishing.  A correct and careful handling and application in a post- Brexit world will be even more critical for business.

“The current state of flux should be regarded as a beginning rather than an end and we are now working towards circumstances where businesses and individuals will be able to plan with a greater degree of certainty.  There is still much which can be done and it is important that people shouldn’t feel that they’ve left it too late.

“A large team have been working on this document for some months and we are delighted to be able to offer this as a free resource.”
