Sam Patel
Sam is a member of the Private Client team at Stronachs LLP and has almost 20 years of experience in the professional services industry.
He earned his Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance (Hons) from Robert Gordon University graduating in the same year as he began working the profession. He is a qualified Accountant (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland), becoming a member of the Chartered Institute in December 2011 and completed his training with a national accountancy firm in Aberdeen. During his training contract he primarily spent his time working in tax which enables him to provide advice on a broad range of Accounting and Taxation matters with a particular focus on individuals, trusts and estates.
Working with our Private Client Solicitors, Sam advises our clients on personal tax matters particularly pertaining to estates, trusts and assistance with the tax aspects when disposing of a second home. His expertise covers income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and land and buildings transaction tax. He excels at providing our clients with piece of mind and the appropriate advice they require to accurately report and settle their tax liabilities. Sam also provides bespoke advice in relation to estate planning exercises where clients are restructuring their affairs, particularly to business owners, landed estate owners, farming families and high-net-worth individuals.
