Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 UK Guides 2024
The 2024 editions of Chambers & Partners Legal Guide UK and Legal 500 UK have been launched, with Stronachs LLP being recognised in both. The two annual reviews of the UK’s legal market rank the leading firms and lawyers in Scotland.
Chambers & Partners Legal Guide UK was launched on 19 October with partner Neil Forbes being recognised for his work in the ranked corporate/M&A department. Partners James Downie and James Muir, of the ranked energy team, and Anya Duncan of the ranked employment team were also singled out for individual commendation. In addition, partners David Marshall, agriculture and rural division, and Robert McDiarmid who heads up the Dispute Resolution team, were recognised by the guide.
They join private client partners Jaclyn Russell, Kirsten Anderson and Legal Director, Karen Oliver who were all individually recognised in Chambers High Net Worth guide earlier in the year.

The Legal 500 report of 4 October recommends the firm for its work across Scotland in five practice areas; corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, energy and natural resources, private client and commercial real estate.
Individually, the firm’s recommended professionals are: corporate and commercial partners Ross Gardner and Neil Forbes with Neil Forbes being recognised as a Leading Individual in the sector. From the dispute resolution team partners Robert McDiarmid, Deborah Law and Colin Sandilands are highlighted.
From the energy team James Downie has again been recognised as a Leading Individual in the practice area with partner James Muir being recommended.
Within the private client team partner Jaclyn Russell is joined by Senior Associate Karen Oliver. Finally, from the commercial property team, partners Duncan Campbell, Liz Stewart and Emma Stephen have been recommended.
