Annika is a Partner in the Employment team and has been with Stronachs since 2014. She has experience in advising in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues in sectors including energy, construction, hospitality, automotive, manufacturing, agriculture, higher education, IT, and professional services.

In her time with the team, Annika has developed a particular interest in compliance and contentious matters, with a focus on data protection. She is certified by the Law Society of Scotland in Data Protection.

In relation to contentious work, Annika has significant experience in employment tribunal and employment appeal tribunal matters in particular with regard to complex cases involving discrimination, whistleblowing, and unfair dismissal claims related to health and safety issues. As well as representing clients in tribunal hearings, Annika also has experience engaging in alternative forms of dispute resolution such as mediation.

Annika works closely with the corporate team, advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, TUPE transfers, and insolvencies and pre-pack administrations.

Annika is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association and was a member of the working party on the ICO consultations on Record Keeping and recruitment. She is a member of the Board of the Aberdeen Law Project and is fluent in German.
