Neil is a partner in the firm’s corporate team. He has over 30 years’ experience working in all areas of corporate law acting for clients in a number of industry sectors including many in the energy supply chain, renewables and the infrastructure sector.

He has extensive experience of transactional work including M&A, investment raising and start-ups and is a trusted adviser to many owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and family offices. Neil also has significant experiences in reconstructions (both solvent and insolvent).

Neil is a member of the firm’s management board.

Neil, who joined the firm in 1993 after graduating from the University of Aberdeen, has been consistently recognised by Chambers (2016-2025) for corporate/M&A work. He continues to be recognised each year in the Legal 500, and, since 2024, has been named as a member of its Hall of Fame – an accolade that highlights his long-standing and exceptional contributions to corporate law.
